Know Thy Neighbour #3: Unrestrained Passion for Armadale in the Examiner Newspapers

Olga Cironis and Duncan Wright’s interventional artwork Unrestrained Passion for Armadale has taken over the latest edition of the Examiner Newspapers.

The paper, which has regular distribution across the City of Armadale, City of Gosnells, and the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, features a double-page spread of portrait shots of residents to the Harrisdale/Piara Waters neighbourhoods, who have spent time with the artists over this month and offered their insight into their relationship with its changing landscape. The artwork, is also one out of a series of interventions that Cironis and Wright have facilitated with the provocation to investigate belonging within the social and cultural landscape of Armadale.

The quote “Unrestrained Passion For Armadale” takes from a reflection made by a local resident when considering with the artists their sense of place within the Armadale community.
