Circular Economies Exhibition Recap: Pigments of The Earth by HONF with Narrogin Arts
House of Natural Fiber’s (HONF) Irene Agrivina finished her time in Narrogin with an artist talk, workshop and final exhibition; Pigments of The Earth. The event was supported by Arts Narrogin in the Nexis Gallery. This residency forms part of one of SPACED’s current programs, Circular Economies, which will be exhibiting at PICA in October 2026.
Pigments of the Earth opened its doors, and the Nexis Gallery came alive. People arrived with curiosity in their eyes and warmth in their footsteps. The all-ages event was well attended by locals Narrogin locals. To witness the community enter the space was like watching colours awaken inside people. The response to the work was felt and every shade and texture became a mirror of memory, carrying quiet stories.
Leaving a place I hold so dear,
Sadness warms the atmosphere.
Peace and sorrow blend as one,
Like dusk embracing a setting sun.
Leaves are whispering in the bushes,
Soft as memory gently pushes.
The bus departs, the engine hums,
The heart stays still when distance comes.
A place now lives inside my mind,
Every colour intertwined.
Though miles grow wide and seasons flow,
Its light remains wherever I go.
