What we do
We combine artistic experimentation with social participation.
When you donate to SPACED, a not-for-profit organisation, all donations help us achieve our mission: to bring artists and communities together through meaningful, context-responsive art. Your contribution will create opportunities for collaboration, conversation and exchange across Western Australia and beyond.
Our programs include artist residencies, exhibitions, public and school engagement, mentoring, publishing, and networking. We create spaces where diverse voices can meet and create something extraordinary, together.
Your donation directly helps by:
Funding residencies with talented artists to produce context-driven high-caliber art. Staying long enough to prioritise listening, learning, and co-creation—resulting in deeply considered works shaped by people and place.
Supporting public presentation of new work, shown not just to regional, national and international audiences but among neighbours.
Creating employment of local residents, with in-built mentorship and professional development to create pathways for regional voices and skills to thrive within the arts.
Sustaining operational costs, including documentation and archiving one of Australia’s most enduring and innovative residency models.
Join Friends of SPACED – annual ongoing contribution
$300 p/a - for less than $6 per week, you’re sponsoring contemporary art projects around the state.
Friends of SPACED are invited to all events, receive regular updates, and receive invitations to member-only events to connect with curators and artists. Friends of SPACED will receive a welcome package as thanks.
Donate Big – let's make it happen! Become a Major Donor!
You are invited to join the curators and director of SPACED. Donate $1000 or more to join our exclusive events, meeting with local audiences and host partners to learn more about how they’re supporting artists and communities.
As a Major Donor, you will be invited to meet our Board of Directors and enjoy a VIP dinner with our Executive Director and artists. You will receive a welcome package, as well as a complete set of past SPACED publications. Major Donors also receive recognition on our website, at SPACED events, and in printed publications.
