Alana Hunt and Jacky Cheng Finalists in the 2022 National Works on Paper

Congratulations to Alana Hunt and Jacky Cheng for being included in the seventy-eight artists from across Australia shortlisted for the 2022 National Works on Paper (NWOP). Both Hunt and Cheng are part of Spaced’s current program, Rural Utopias.

In supporting and promoting contemporary Australian artists working on or with paper the NWOP includes one of the most prestigious acquisitive prizes and exhibitions of its type in Australia.

The accompanying exhibition will include traditional approaches to working with paper alongside works that incorporate new technologies and provides a survey of what’s happening in contemporary art across Australia today. The judges for this year’s award are Clothilde Bullen, Head of Indigenous Programs and Initiatives and Curator of Indigenous Art, AGWA, Max Delany, Artistic Director and CEO, ACCA, Jenna Lee, artist, NWOP finalist 2020 and Danny Lacy, Director Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.

Location: Mornington Peninsula Regional Art Gallery.

Dates: 13 August to 27 November 2022.

The winner of the 2022 National Works on Paper prize will be announced at the exhibition launch on Saturday 13 August 2022.
